Irene Smith Crippen (June 29, 1906-December 15, 2000) served as treasurer of the Ames Girl Scout Council from its founding in 1945 until it was merged into the Moingona Council in the 1950s. This photo was taken in 1996 on her 90th birthday. She had been the long-time business manager for Tilden's Department Store in Ames.
