Purpose of Meeting
The Ames Antifascist Book Club will be screening All The Beauty and the Bloodshed directed by Laura Poitras on December 2. The documentary focuses on the life of photographer and activist Nan Goldin through reclaiming her troubled upbringing, her connection to community and art, and in using her platform for radical change. Due to graphic imagery and themes presented by this film, attendants are encouraged to research content warnings before arriving to this event.
