Ames Sanctuary Interfaith Partners (ASIP)

ASIP addresses the needs and treatment of asylum-seeking and undocumented immigrants including our DACA immigrants. We also offer volunteer support to any Ames congregation considering the offering of physical sanctuary. Our membership consists of 13 Ames congregations (to date) and includes members of the Christian, Jewish, Islamic and Buddhist faiths. Prior to the virus, our once-a-month Assembly Meeting was blessed with library rooms that offered a neutral and quiet setting. Some members dropped out under the Zoom situation, and we look forward to the joy of welcoming them back to the library once again.
