Important Dates

November 2, 2021: City & School Election

October 13: Absentee Voting Begins

October 18: Deadline to pre-register to vote

October 18: Last day to request a "mailed" absentee ballot

November 1: Last day to vote absentee in person at Auditor
The Auditor's Office is open from 8am to 4:30pm Monday through Friday. (Open until 5pm October 18)

November 2: Polls open from 7am to 8pm
Voters must go to their assigned precinct

Satellite Absentee Voting:

  • Thursday, October 14: 10am-4pm, Scheman Building, ISU Campus
  • Saturday, October 30: 10am-4pm, Ames Public Library


Voter registration forms and Absentee Ballot Request forms for mailed ballots must be received in the Auditor's Office by 5pm on October 18.
