0-6 Months:

In this adorable board book, Spot the dog goes to the supermarket. The book goes through what Spot and his mom get at the store and how to get it. These colorful illustrations would keep young eyes very interested.
- Let’s Go to The Library by Scholastic Books
This book can be read or sang, so this would be great to sing to young children to introduce going to the library. The book features pictures of real people and children and what they do at the library.
6-12 Months:
- When I Go to the Supermarket by Jill Harker
This board book features the different elements of the supermarket and what the family in the book gets at the supermarket. This would be a great book to read to children when they are starting to be more involved in going to the supermarket.
- First Time Sleepover by Jess Stockham
In this board book, a baby goes to a sleepover for the first time. Each page describes the experience and what happens on their playdate/sleepover. The colorful illustrations in this book are sure to keep the attention of the reader.
12-24 Months:
- I Have to Go! by Robert Munsch
In this board book, the little boy really has to go pee. The book goes through him going to different places like grandma and grandpa’s and having to go pee. This is an adorable board book that features real life looking people, so children would be able to easily relate.
- Chu’s Day at the Beach by Neil Gaiman and Adam Rex
In this board book, Chu the panda goes to the beach. This is a longer book with more words, so would be more appropriate for older children. Each page in the book is colorfully and beautifully illustrations and talks about a different thing that Chu does at the beach.
