The 2026 All Iowa Reads selections were announced Oct. 9 on Iowa Public Radio’s Talk of Iowa program with host Charity Nebbe. Nebbe was joined by All Iowa Reads committee member Mike Jorgensen of the Coralville Public Library to announce the title for adults; and Janeé Jackson-Doering, Youth Services Consultant at the State Library and head of the All Iowa Reads teen and kid committees, to announce the titles for teens and kids. • The 2025 All Iowa Reads selection for adults is THE QUIET LIBRARIAN by Allen Eskers.
• The 2026 Teen All Iowa Reads selection is STRONG LIKE YOU by T.L. Simpson.
• The 2026 Kids All Iowa Reads selection is THE TROUBLE WITH HEROES by Kate Messer.

Plan to join the State Library for the 2026 kickoff webinar featuring the All Iowa Reads authors on Tuesday, Jan. 6 from 10:00 a.m. to noon. More information and the link to register will be available soon and will be posted on the All Iowa Reads webpage. Resources for the 2026 All Iowa Reads program, including book discussion questions and more, will also be available towards the end of December.
