Celebrate the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence with this display of scanned historical documents dating back to the founding of the United States.

  • Check out the new PBS documentary The American Revolution, directed by Ken Burns, Sarah Botstein, and David Schmidt
  • Browse the Library's display on the second floor for a wide selection of books and documentaries on the subject.
  • Visit the Revolutionary Iowans traveling exhibit in the Gallery on the Library's second floor.
  • Attend the American Revolution Transcribe-a-thon on March 28 from 10am to 2pm, and help history live on by transcribing documents for the Library of Congress's "By the People" volunteer transcription program.
