Stop into this free event presented by Iowa State University's Lectures Program and supported by the Ames Public Library Friends Foundation:

Come hear from Dr. Amy Blackstone, a professor in sociology at the University of Maine, doing research on childfree choice, workplace harassment, and civic engagement. She is the author of Childfree by Choice.

Dr. Blackstone will discuss the culture and discrimination that surrounds not having children for women, men, gay and lesbian couples, and trans persons. She will also discuss the history of the childfree movement and its future.
