The Ames Urban Fringe Plan focuses on land located within two miles of Ames boundaries. The Plan includes policies and procedures related to rural subdivisions and annexation. The Fringe Plan Update is a cooperative planning effort between the City of Ames, City of Gilbert, and Story County.
