The Collective Mending Sessions (2018-present) is a socially engaged project by Iowa-based artist Catherine Reinhart. The artist facilitates workshops where participants repair an abandoned quilt, together.

Drop in to this workshop and learn basic mending and textile care while chatting with the artist. The question driving The Collective Mending Sessions is, “How do we mend our communities?”

Catherine Reinhart is an artist living and creating in Ames, IA. She received her BFA in Integrated Studio Arts - Printmaking and Fiber from Iowa State University and completed her MFA in Textiles from the University of Kansas.
