Program Details
Hear from Susan Benner, who has worked with the immigrant community in Ames for 20 years.
Susan will share definitions and concepts to help us understand the immigrant and refugee status. She will bust myths about immigrants and refugees, sharing the realities and statistics and humanizing these members of our communities and workforce.
There will also be discussion of current ICE and immigration enforcement across the country and in Iowa. Finally, we will hear what we can do to support our immigrant neighbors.
