Artificial intelligence (AI) is becoming a part of daily life, but what does that really mean? Join Kate Garretson, Instruction Librarian at Iowa State University Library, for an overview of key AI concepts, including how people are using AI and where the technology is headed.

We’ll explore practical applications, experiment with Copilot and ChatGPT, and introduce strategies for effective AI interactions. We will touch on some of the ethical considerations and limitations AI presents and discuss some techniques for making more informed decisions about AI use.

Bring your own device to test out your new AI knowledge. The library will have a small number of laptops available for use during the program.
