Community Update on Homelessness Action Plan

Join us for an open-house-style event following up on the April 2025 Homelessness Action Plan report commissioned by the City of Ames and Story County. The report provided recommendations on service gaps, collaboration opportunities, and best practices in assisting the unsheltered population in Story County.

Individuals and service providers in attendance will learn about the progress made in assisting individuals and families experiencing homelessness. Additionally, attendees will have the opportunity to learn how they can contribute to continued efforts to address homelessness.

This event will bring together several direct service providers and funders that support those experiencing or at risk of experiencing homelessness.

Presented in partnership with Ames Public Library, City of Ames, United Way of Story County, and Iowa State University Student Government.
