Get ready for a plant-tastic adventure for all ages!

Whether you're just starting out with houseplants, or you've been nurturing green pals for years, join us for a fun-filled session where you'll learn everything from keeping pests at bay to giving your leafy friends the perfect nourishment.

We're not stopping at the basics—get ready to dive into the exciting world of repotting, where you'll learn how to give your plants the space they need to spread their roots and flourish.

Whether you're a kid, a grown-up, or somewhere in between, this event is sure to help you grow your green skills and turn your home into a vibrant oasis.

Plant Swap

Do you love plants and want to share one of your own or diversify your current collection? Join us before and after our Happy Houseplanting session for a plant swap! You can pick up a plant, share cuttings, or drop off a plant you’d like to give away. Please bring a labeled bag or container for your plant/cutting.

Presentation participants are not required to participate in the plant swap (and vice versa).

Presented in partnership with Ames Public Library and Back Alley House Plants.

Ames Public Library connects you to the world of ideas through diverse and inclusive resources and programs. We welcome proposals via our website for programs at www.amespubliclibrary.org/programproposal and exhibits at https://www.amespubliclibrary.org/exhibit-proposal.
