Join the League of Women Voters of Ames & Story County and Ames Public Library for a presentation by Diane Birt, chair of the Ames Interfaith Refugee Alliance and member of Ames Sanctuary Interfaith Partners.

Ms. Birt will explain the categories of immigrants and refugees in Ames, share stories of these immigrants and refugees, and discuss the needs of asylum-seeking and undocumented immigrants and refugees in Ames. She will also talk about how you can become engaged with the organizations serving these people.
