Ames artist Kristin M Roach's Junk Mail Migration project was initially inspired by the question, "Where does junk mail come from?" which led to identifying the impact of deforestation on Iowa’s backyard, migratory bird populations.

Artist Reception: Artist Kristin Roach will talk about the Junk Mail Migration project and explain how she created the interactive Iowa migration mapping tapestry.

Support provided by Ames Public Library Friends Foundation; the Iowa Arts Council, a division of the Iowa Department of Cultural Affairs; and the National Endowment for the Arts.
