This thought-provoking talk will explore the rich history of international students in the United States, with a special emphasis on Iowa and Iowa State University.
Dr. Linda Serra Hagedorn, Ph.D., Professor Emeritus and Former Associate Dean at Iowa State University, will illuminate the rigorous processes, background checks, and governmental scrutiny international students face.
The presentation will also dissect the newest policy changes and political tensions shaping today’s international student experience, while examining the tangible effects on students, campuses, and local communities.
