Join us for a short lecture and a vibrant discussion around Miss Juneteenth. In this film, A former beauty queen and single mom prepares her rebellious teenage daughter for the "Miss Juneteenth" pageant.

Before the event, participants will watch the film on their own time by checking out the DVD or using the Library's free Kanopy streaming service. 

Then, join the live virtual conversation facilitated by Dr. Novotny Lawrence from ISU's Greenlee School of Journalism and Communication and the Department of English.
