Ames Public Library and ISU Extension & Outreach are teaming up to bring you a school year of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM)! This event is perfect for homeschool families. Activities are geared for K-5 students, but all ages are welcome to join us.

  • Sept. 5 - Coding with Dash & Dot
  • Oct. 3 - Celebrate 4-H National Youth Science Day with coding and computer science activities
  • Nov. 7 - Explore our Body: Sound All Around
  • Dec. 5 - Explore our Body: Healthy Hearts
  • Jan. 2 - Super Sledding! Explore the science behind what makes sleds go faster or slower in the snow.
  • Feb. 6 - Play with your Food: Popping Popcorn
  • Mar. 5 - Play with your Food: Marvelous Marshmallows
  • Apr. 2 - Outer Space Adventure: Toys in Space
  • May 7 - Outer Space Adventure: Rockets Away ***at Bandshell Park, weather permitting***
