Children in grades K-12 are invited to sign up for a no-cost eye exam and prescription glasses (if needed)!

Ames Public Library is partnering with Vision to Learn, a non-profit offering vision services to those who need it, free of charge. No insurance is needed.

Appointments are available on the following dates. If your child needs prescription glasses, you will be given an appointment to pick up their free glasses on the date in parenthesis.

  • June 4 (Glasses pickup July 7)
  • June 18 (Glasses pickup July 15)
  • July 16 (Glasses pickup August 12)
  • August 13 (Glasses pickup September 9)

(Walk-ins will not be accepted.)
