Presenter: Gloria Betcher, Associate Teaching Professor of English, Iowa State University
Join Ames History Museum and Ames Public Library for a series of online lectures.
Today, the City of Ames and Iowa State University are working to create one community that is more inclusive for all residents. But what was Ames like for people of color before the mid-twentieth century? Hear about the sometimes-difficult experiences of Ames’ residents of color, who laid the foundations upon which the city and Iowa State built a better future.
