Join Library staff for a monthly book discussion just for families that are homeschooling or learning remotely!

This year we have selected a diverse collection of books that mirror our world, with a special focus on stories about historically excluded identities and groups of people. Families are invited to read the book of the month (together or independently), then come to the Library for a discussion and related activities.

This event and books are geared for school-age kids or middle-grade reading level, but all ages are welcome.

October 6: What is your favorite book you've recently read?
Come share about some of the great books you've read and pick up a copy of next month’s selection.

November 10: In the Footsteps of Crazy Horse by Joseph Marshall

December 1: Focused by Alyson Gerber

January 5: Linked by Gordon Korman

February 2: One Crazy Summer by Rita Williams-Garcia

March 2: RAD American Women A to Z by Kate Schatz

April 6: The Turtle of Oman by Naomi Shihab Nye

May 4: Finding Junie Kim by Ellen Oh
