Program Description

Program Details

Join a conversation with Danika Wahlin and her partner Lisa Ledford, and Lukas Daniels and Evan Day as they share their experiences around Gender Expression, Alternate Personas and/or Coming Out. The couples will reflect on what makes a successful support system, what they wish they had known then, and focus on living authentic, adult lives as or with trans people.

The Pridefest 2020 Storytelling Project, in partnership with Ames Public Library, will create opportunities for local people to tell their stories during our Pridefest celebration. Stories will be shared in multiple ways including in a scheduled monthly event, via social media posts and through other programming formats as storytellers would like.

See Ames Pridefest Storytelling Project information and application at www.amespride.org/2020.

Provided in partnership with Ames Public Library and Ames Pride.
