Artist: Matt Mason

Join us for a second year of poetry and community in the heart of Iowa, featuring local, regional and international talent with expanded opportunities to experience poetry!

Nebraska State Poet Matt Mason is an internationally acclaimed spoken-word and literary poet, the Executive Director of the Nebraska Writer’s Collective, and the founder of both the Omaha Healing Arts Center Poetry Slam and The Poetry Menu, a comprehensive website listing every poetry event in the state of Nebraska. Matt was also a former member of the Des Moines Poetry Slam’s National Slam Team and has appeared at venues ranging from the Fourth Street theater in Des Moines to Iowa State University in Ames.
